JOB PURPOSE:
Contribute to project development, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of various project components within the mechanical engineering discipline. Prioritize customer and contractor satisfaction.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Execute day-to-day operations to ensure departmental compliance with established standards and procedures.
Manage and supervise on-site District Cooling underground network construction activities.
Analyze and review shop drawings, design drawings, and material specifications.
Conduct testing and commissioning activities for District Cooling systems.
Develop and monitor construction programs and project schedules.
Provide support to stakeholders in planning and executing project plans in alignment with project scope.
Supervise contractors, coordinate activities, and resolve issues to ensure projects meet work schedule and quality standards.
Assess project deliverables for progress and compliance.
Provide support during the tendering phase by evaluating bidders in line with technical requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Relevant industry professional designations (PMP) and experience in HVAC projects are desirable
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 years of relevant work experience in utility plant construction and DC equipment
Experience in the utilities industry or a large-scale project management environment is desirable
SKILLS:
Proficiency in English
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of project management concepts and techniques
Good understanding of standards and codes relevant to specific utilities (mainly DC) and familiarity with authority regulations
Computer literacy
Reports to: DC Project Manager
Section: District Cooling (DC) Projects
